Arielle Nash

Co-Founder and President

Meet Arielle Nash, the Co-founder and President of The Nash Group. Back in 2013, she had this brilliant idea with her father Dr. Troy Nash of making affordable housing a reality for those in underdeveloped communities all over the country. Talk about making a difference, right? Arielle is all about building communities from the ground up, and that's what drives her every day.

Now, The Nash Group is not your average real estate development firm. They're all about affordable housing and strategic consulting. Arielle wears many hats here – she's the brains behind the ownership and development of affordable, workforce, attainable, and mixed-income housing. Plus, she's the go-to person for partnering up with private and public entities to make it all happen. Fast forward to today, and The Nash Group is knocking it out of the park with its mixed-income affordable housing projects. They're all about utilizing Tax Credits, and incentives from Local, State, and Federal levels, and getting creative with Equity and Debt financing.

After her time studying abroad in Japan, Arielle graduated from Pembroke Hill High School in 2018, a private school in good ol' Kansas City, Missouri. Instead of jumping right into college, she decided to take a gap year. During that time, she headed over to Washington D.C. and interned on Capitol Hill. Fun fact - she interacted with the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing, Community Development, and Insurance. That committee basically rules over all those Housing Urban Development (HUD) programs.

Oh, and get this - Arielle is a pro and fluent in Chinese and Spanish. She even got herself the Novogradac Community Development Certificate (NCDC), which is like this fancy certification that dives deep into community development tax incentives. Basically, it covers everything from the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) to New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) and Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits (HTC).

Meaningful Experience

In 2023, Arielle found herself back in Washington DC, interning as a research private equity analyst for Artemis Real Estate Partners. You know, they're all about that power of partnership stuff – investing directly and teaming up with local operating partners in all kinds of U.S. commercial real estate. Based in the DC area, but with offices in New York City, LA, and Atlanta, Artemis has raised a whopping $9 billion in capital. They're into all sorts of real estate investments – from multifamily to industrial to hospitality. Arielle really got a crash course on how real estate private equity can make a difference in underserved communities across the country. Arielle is incredibly passionate and dedicated to making a difference! She is actively involved in numerous organizations and proudly serves as the primary point of contact for all things related to affordable housing policy. Her work directly impacts important issues such as homelessness, mental health, and addiction.

Arielle is over at Washington University in St. Louis, rocking out her Bachelor of Science degree. She's mixing it up with some Sociology, Anthropology, Business, Political Science, and Economics to help develop affordable housing. Her jam is diving deep into the sociological side of things when it comes to affordable housing - think housing insecurity, discrimination, and inequality.
